North Carolina traffic laws
The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (NC DMV) rates the severity of traffic violations through a point system and keeps track of points on individual driving records. Twelve points or more within a three-year period can result in license suspension.

When you receive a traffic citation, the Charlotte Traffic Court may allow you to waive court appearances by pleading guilty and paying the fine.
